A&C Event Space
A venue marketing site built to showcase the space and turn browsers into booking enquiries.

The problem
Event venues sell trust before they sell a date. Planners want to know whether the room fits one hundred guests, whether the lighting flatters evening ceremonies, and how to hold a slot without playing phone tag through three different numbers. A&C Event Space had the physical product — a real hall with real bookings — but the digital front door was thin. Social posts expired. Photo albums lived on personal phones. Anyone googling for a western Jamaica venue found competitors with clearer sites first.
The operational pain showed up in the inbox. Messages like “how much for a wedding?” without a date or guest count forced staff to ask the same five questions every time. That delay lost weekend enquiries to whoever answered faster on WhatsApp. The brief was not “make it pretty.” It was “make the next message useful.”
Constraints were familiar for Jamaican SMEs: limited photography budget, owners who run the venue while answering the phone, and a need to launch in weeks rather than a six-month brand programme. We scoped a marketing site with enquiry paths, not a full booking engine on day one.
What we built
Information architecture put event types and space proof above decorative storytelling. Galleries were curated for honesty — wide shots and detail shots — compressed for Digicel and Flow connections. Copy named what the venue could and could not do so expectations matched the tour.
Calls to action favoured WhatsApp with a prefilled prompt asking for date, headcount, and event type, plus an optional form for planners who prefer email trails. Contact details stayed consistent with business hours. Basic SEO covered titles, meta descriptions, and heading structure so the page could earn organic visits over time.
Hosting, SSL, and a maintenance retainer meant photo swaps before peak wedding months did not require a full project restart. Training covered how to request content updates without learning a CMS on a Saturday morning.
Stack and delivery
We used a modern responsive web stack suitable for a marketing site — fast first paint, no unnecessary frameworks that inflate the download. Deployment included HTTPS and backups under the retainer model Devforge sells with every site.
Design reviews happened on phones, because that is how most planners browse between meetings. Tap targets, contrast, and readable type outdoors mattered more than desktop-only flourishes.
Launch included a walkthrough of enquiry handling so the website and WhatsApp habits stayed aligned. The site is live at aceventspace.com for anyone evaluating the result.
Outcome
A&C Event Space now owns a stable URL that matches the quality of the room. Enquiries arrive with more structure. The team can update seasonal messaging through the monthly care plan instead of waiting for another build cycle.
We do not invent booking-volume percentages. The measurable win clients describe is operational: fewer incomplete chats and a place that looks intentional when shared in a family group.
This pattern — clear proof, honest logistics, WhatsApp-first conversion — is what we reuse for other Jamaican venues and service businesses.
Stack
- Next.js
- Responsive HTML/CSS
- SEO basics
- Hosting & SSL
Problem
- The venue had strong word-of-mouth and photos on phones, but no durable place to send planners who found them online.
- Enquiries arrived as vague DMs with no event date, headcount, or room preference — forcing long back-and-forth before a quote.
- Mobile visitors needed to see the room honestly without waiting on a desktop-only gallery.
Built
- A multi-section marketing site with clear event-type paths and image galleries that load cleanly on mid-range phones.
- Enquiry-oriented calls to action wired for WhatsApp and form capture so staff get structured first messages.
- On-page SEO foundations — titles, headings, and location cues — so “event space” searches have something real to rank.
Outcome
- The venue can send a single URL instead of a photo dump in chat.
- Staff triage enquiries with more context before quoting.
- The site remains under a care plan so seasonal copy and photos can update without a rebuild.
